Mental Health Emergencies Are Real Emergencies
Mental health crises require prompt, compassionate care. If you or someone you love is experiencing a mental health emergency, West Village ER is here to help. You can walk in anytime, day or night, with no appointment required.
A board-certified emergency physician will provide an immediate evaluation in a safe, private setting and help determine the appropriate next steps. Our emergency team is supported by board-certified psychiatrists on staff who provide specialized psychiatric expertise for patients experiencing mental health concerns. Together, our team works to evaluate, stabilize, and connect patients with the appropriate level of ongoing care.
As a fully equipped standalone emergency room, West Village ER provides the same advanced emergency capabilities as a hospital emergency department, including physician evaluation, medical assessment, stabilization, and coordination of care when additional resources are needed.
If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, thoughts of harming someone else, severe emotional distress, or a mental health crisis that feels overwhelming, seek help immediately. Come to West Village ER, call 911 for a life-threatening emergency, or contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
